Walmart Target Marketplace Specialist

Our client, a educational supply company is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Marketplace Specialist to manage and grow their product presence on Target Plus and Walmart Marketplace.

This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketplace operations including product listings, pricing, content optimization, images, analytics, and ongoing performance management.

The ideal candidate has strong e-commerce experience and understands marketplace algorithms, compliance requirements, and best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize all product listings on Target Plus and Walmart Marketplace.
• Ensure all listings meet each platform’s compliance, formatting, and content standards.
• Oversee catalog accuracy, updating product variations, attributes, and specifications as needed.
• Write clear, compelling product descriptions, titles, bullet points, and SEO-friendly keywords.
• Upload, update, and maintain high-quality product photos and digital assets.
• Optimize listings to increase visibility, conversion rate, and organic ranking.
• Monitor competitive landscape and make data-driven pricing adjustments.
• Manage promotions, discounts, and platform-specific merchandising opportunities.
• Ensure pricing consistency across all selling channels when required.
• Work with internal teams to maintain proper stock levels and avoid overselling.
• Monitor order flow, fulfillment status, and product availability.
• Address listing errors, suppression issues, and other platform-related operational challenges.
• Track key performance metrics including sales, traffic, conversion rates, and advertising results.
• Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to management.
• Identify opportunities for revenue growth, assortment expansion, and operational improvements.
• Ensure all listings adhere to each marketplace’s policies.
• Troubleshoot listing flags, violations, and other compliance issues.
• Maintain high marketplace seller scores and operational performance standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience managing Target Plus, Walmart Marketplace, or similar e-commerce platforms.
• Strong understanding of marketplace algorithms, SEO, and best practices.
• Excellent writing skills for product descriptions and content optimization.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, listing tools, marketplace dashboards, and analytics platforms.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple listings and tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to problem-solve platform issues quickly and efficiently.
• Knowledge of marketplace advertising tools (Walmart Connect, etc.).
• Familiarity with inventory management and fulfillment processes.
