As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol - Part Time in Cherry Hill, NJ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter of the government location to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized individuals and/or activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors while upholding site-specific policies and procedures.
• Participate in drills, trainings, and/or meetings as required to stay current with security-related protocols and emergency procedures.
• Support law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents at the location.
• Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment and firearms in accordance with company and local regulations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Hold a valid New Jersey RPO certificate.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
