Regulatory Affairs Manager OR Quality Assurance Manager (12-Month Contracts)
Nutraceutical and Dietary Supplements
Our client is an innovative and rapidly growing nutraceutical business with ambitious expansion plans across key international markets. As the business continues to scale, they are seeking to appoint both a Regulatory Affairs Manager and a Quality Assurance Manager on 12-month contract assignments to support product development, compliance, quality systems, and operational excellence.
These positions offer the opportunity to play a key role within a growing organisation where regulatory and quality expertise will directly influence business growth, product development, and compliance excellence.
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience within dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, vitamins, minerals, sports nutrition, functional foods, or broader consumer health products.
Regulatory Affairs Manager (12-Month Contract)
The Regulatory Affairs Manager will be responsible for ensuring products remain compliant across multiple markets while providing strategic regulatory guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory leadership and guidance across product development, innovation, and commercial activities.
- Review and approve product labels, packaging, artwork, and marketing materials.
- Assess ingredient compliance and support new product launches across domestic and international markets.
- Evaluate regulatory requirements relating to dietary supplements, nutraceutical ingredients, health claims, and product classifications.
- Support regulatory assessments involving GRAS determinations, Novel Foods, ingredient safety evaluations, and market access requirements.
- Monitor changes in global regulatory frameworks and assess business impact.
- Partner closely with R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure compliant product development.
- Support regulatory submissions, notifications, registrations, and technical documentation where required.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for regulatory compliance and product claims.
Requirements
- Proven Regulatory Affairs experience within dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, vitamins, minerals, sports nutrition, functional foods, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of UK, EU, and/or US dietary supplement regulations.
- Experience assessing ingredient compliance, health claims, product labelling, and regulatory risk.
- Familiarity with GRAS determinations, FDA dietary supplement regulations, Novel Foods assessments, and relevant food supplement legislation.
- Experience supporting new product launches and regulatory review processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within a growing business environment.
Quality Assurance Manager (12-Month Contract)
The Quality Assurance Manager will lead quality activities across suppliers, manufacturing partners, and internal quality systems to ensure products consistently meet regulatory, customer, and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Lead supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and audit programmes.
- Oversee deviations, investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with GMP and relevant quality standards across manufacturing operations.
- Support internal, supplier, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Partner with third-party manufacturers to maintain quality and compliance standards.
- Manage product complaints, quality incidents, and root cause investigations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes and systems.
- Support quality readiness for business growth, product launches, and market expansion.
Requirements
- Proven Quality Assurance experience within dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, food supplements, functional foods, or consumer health products.
- Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, supplier quality management, and quality systems.
- Experience managing CAPAs, deviations, investigations, and change controls.
- Demonstrated experience conducting or supporting supplier and manufacturing audits.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers and external suppliers.
- Familiarity with quality management platforms such as MasterControl, ETQ, TrackWise, Veeva Quality, Q-Pulse, Intelex, SAP QM, or similar systems is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
