Expectations for the Safety Representative Position

· Maintaining safety culture as a main priority. Buist has a good safety record with its customers, and we are looking for someone to continue that record as a critical part of our relationship with our customers.

· Is a resource for means and methods for working safely in a construction atmosphere?

· Stays connected with employees and clients regarding safety requirements.

The qualifications should include the following:

1. Computer skills including MS Office
2. OSHA 30 Training
3. Confined space training
4. Experience conducting tool box talks
5. CPR Training
6. Familiarity with Job Hazard analysis
7. Familiarity with Pre task Planning
8. Familiarity with Mechanical trades - hvac/sheet metal/piping

Duties

1. Conduct tool box talks at various sites and on line for smaller crews and keep attendance records
2. Updating Safety manual
3. Fill out JHA’s and conduct job walks
4. Maintain training records of employees
5. Schedule employee trainings as required
6. Ability to perform safety training for confined space, ladder use, fork truck use, etc
7. Update safety information online on sites such as ISNetworld & Avetta
8. Maintain OSHA logs

Compensation and Benefits:

· Salary commensurate with experience
