Plumbing/HVAC Estimator
Plumbing/HVAC Estimator in the New Jersey Area
We are a growing mechanical contractor in NJ currently hiring additional top-notch estimators with 5 or more years of plumbing/piping estimating experience. Prior commercial mechanical (plumbing/piping) estimating experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities for Plumbing/HVAC Estimator :
- Project document control.
- Read AutoCAD Drawings.
- Prepare mechanical estimate take-offs.
- Estimating projects and major buyout of projects.
- Coordinate manpower and provide schedules.
- Review Sub-contractor estimates and quotes.
- Build Conceptual Estimates.
- Identify and communicate conflicts and errors in estimates.
- Build effective, profitable winning bids for upcoming projects.
- isit with clients, general contractors and engineers.
- Look for value engineering opportunities.
- Train junior estimators.
Requirements for Plumbing/HVAC Estimator :
- 5 or more years of HVAC/Plumbing experience.
- 5 or more years of Estimating experience.
- Extensive Plumbing knowledge.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction or similar.
- Quickpen.
- BlueBeam.
- Strong computer and communication skills.
- Knowledge of OSHPD and CA building codes.
- Stable work history.
- Local to NJ or surroundings.
