Warehouse Associate Union - Night Shift (NJ)
$20.90 shift differential increase every 6 months, up to $26.62Sun-Thu 5:00p p.m. - 1:30 am or finished, up to 2 hours/day OT
SUMMARY:
Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparing, and shipping merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The ideal Candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker; ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift, ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time; ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements; and ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Accurately select/pick merchandise from the assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
- Load Merchandise into the appropriate truck.
- Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
- Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
- Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
- Verify the quality of the product, packaging, and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
- Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
- Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
- Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
- Performs housekeeping duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Preferred qualifications are: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Previous knowledge of SAP, one year of warehouse experience, and previous forklift certification.
Experience:
- 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
- Material handling equipment experience preferred.
- Reach truck experience is a plus.
Requirement:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must pass a functional capacity test.
Work Environment:

- The job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment.
- Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.
- This is a full-time position.
- Must have the ability to work a varying schedule, which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.
- Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental, or business requirements. The position does not require travel.
