DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Department Supervisor/Manager

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime. Actively support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives through routine equipment checks, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to improve reliability and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform injection molding machine start-ups andshut-downs
• Perform mold/plate changes (PLB)
• Installation of related automation equipment
• Process Injection Molding Machines
• Perform part defect trouble shooting and adjustments
• Make necessary and/or routine machine adjustmentsin an effort toprovide continuous production
• Make necessary adjustments to correct defects detected in production and unfreezing machines
• Fill out all necessary paperwork properly inatimelyfashion
• Responsible for knowing andidentifyingdifferent stylesof caps,jarsand their codes (i.e.S, RS, RM, RMX)
• Responsible for making tooling changes (size) within a reasonable amount of time
• Perform other duties as assigned by immediate management.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ATTITUDES:

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in industrial environment
• Ability to communicate and reads basic work instructions

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safety Responsibilities:
  1. Supports a culture where employees address unsafe conditions and behaviors, make suggestions for improvements, and actively participates in implementing solutions
  2. Identifies safety gaps and self-initiates corrective actions
  3. Strictly adheres to plant safety, housekeeping, and 5S efforts
  4. Understands, identifies, and corrects safety hazards
  5. Drives a culture which empowers employees to understand and embrace what they own
• Food Safety Responsibilities:
  1. Monitors and verifies activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials are coming in and out of the facility meet consumer safety and quality standards.
  2. Complies with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures
  3. Reports any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured products to the location’s Food Safety Team Leader and submits an appropriate incident report
