Store Manager

Gotan is a dynamic and vibrant cafe in NYC located in Tribeca. We are looking for an exceptionally talented Cafe Manager to oversee our new location in Jersey City. If you are a natural leader that strives under pressure in a fast paced environment, love great food and coffee and able to lead a strong team then we are looking for YOU!

Requirements and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Minimum 3 years experience in restaurant management

Minimum 6 years in the restaurant industry

Ability to lead a team in high pressure situations

MUST HAVE experience with 3rd Generation Coffee / Specialty Coffee - 2 years minimum

Bilingual language is a huge plus

Oversee the hiring and training of all new employees at the location

Manage inventory + ordering of all products and supplies

Ability to manage time, organize and streamline systems for compliance and efficiency

Full time position / Minimum of 50 hours a week / Minimum 5 days a week / Weekends (Sat or Sunday) must

***ServeSafe Manager certificate is a must

Responsibilities of a Store Manager

• Recruiting and appraising staff
• Training and supervising staff
• Dealing with customer complaints and queries
• Overseeing stock and pricing control
• Maximizing profitability and productivity
• Motivating staff to meet sales targets
• Setting sales targets
• Ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations
• Preparing promotional displays and materials
• Liaising with management
• Taking care of promotional prospects, benefits, and salaries of their staff
• Providing opportunities for staff advancements
