We are seeking a skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee the culinary operations of our upscale steakhouse in Ewing, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of kitchen operations, and front-of-house experience to ensure seamless coordination between the dining room and kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory control, and staff scheduling.
• Ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
• Oversee hiring, training, and development of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with front-of-house management to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
• Monitor food and labor costs, implement cost control measures, and meet budgetary goals.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
• Work closely with the culinary team to create and execute menu items, specials, and seasonal offerings.
• Address and resolve operational issues promptly to ensure a smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a kitchen manager or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume, upscale restaurant.
• Front-of-house experience with a strong understanding of guest service and operational collaboration.
• Proficiency in managing budgets, controlling costs, and meeting financial targets.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
