Elementary Principal PreK - 6th Grade

St. Wenceslaus Catholic School in Wahoo, Nebraska is seeking a dynamic, faith-driven Principal to lead its active and energetic family community starting July 1, 2026. St. Wenceslaus is a school of the Diocese of Lincoln under the leadership of Bishop James D. Conley of Lincoln, Nebraska. St. Wenceslaus has a long, rich tradition of providing excellence in academic and religious education in Wahoo. The school has a PreK-6 th student population of approximately 300 students with a strong tradition of Faith and Community Service.

J O B S UMM A RY :

· The Principal fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by serving as the spiritual, educational, and managerial leader of the school, including faculty, staff, students, and their families. The Principal implements the mission and vision of the school with major emphasis on curriculum and instruction, as well as student discipline. They are responsible for the professional effectiveness of the teachers and staff, the educational progress of the students, as well as the relationship within the entire school community. This position reports to the Pastor of St. Wenceslaus Parish.

D U TI E S AND RE SP O N S IBILITIE S :

ADMINI S T R ATION

· Serves as a member of the Saunders County Catholic Schools Ad m i n is t r a t i v e Te a m:

o Collaborates with other local administrators to r e co mme n d p olicy c h a ng e s and oversees school issues in l ig h t of th e m is s i o n, v i si o n, a nd v a lu e s of these schools.

· Organizes professional development of faculty & staff including faculty in-services, meetings, and workshops.

· Ev a lu a t e s a ssign e d pe r s o n ne l a n n u a ll y.

· Responsible for the academic areas within the school:

o Responsible for the admission of new students to the school; and in conjunction with the guidance counselor, supervises the re-admittance of the current enrollees.

o Im p l e m e nts p olici e s, p roc ed u r e s a nd p roc e ss e s for the s tu de nt bo d y.

o Supervises student orientation, assembly, programs, etc.

o Authorizes all special changes in the day’s schedule.

· Attends all meetings of the School Family Association and gives reports on School matters

· Leads the School Advisory Board for the ongoing growth of the school.

· Coordinates all federal initiatives as they pertain to the School.

· Completes reports for the Diocese of Lincoln and the Nebraska Department of Education.

· Serves as a member of and reports to the Parish Council.
