Warehouse Associate

A leading regional supplier of architectural and industrial coatings is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join the operations hub. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of inventory and ensuring the highest quality of custom-mixed products for a demanding professional clientele.

Core Responsibilities

• Inventory Flow: Unload incoming freight, break down pallets, and organize stock using a FIFO (First In, First Out) system to ensure product readiness.

• Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on pick-tickets and stage them for rapid pickup or delivery.

• Production & Tinting: Operate industrial mixing equipment and computerized tinting systems to prepare custom paint and lacquer orders.

• Heavy Loading: Repeatedly lift and maneuver 5-gallon pails and cases of coatings weighing up to 60 lbs.

• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment and handle flammable solvents and hazardous materials according to established safety protocols.

• Equipment Upkeep: Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on tinting machines and warehouse tools.

Qualifications

• Capability to stand for the duration of a shift and perform consistent heavy lifting.

• A high level of accuracy when reading labels, SKUs, and color formulas.

• A reliable work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, industrial-leaning environment.

• Previous experience in a warehouse setting or the paint industry is a plus, but a commitment to precision and safety is the primary requirement.

Environment

The workplace is a hybrid of a busy professional storefront and a high-volume warehouse. It is an ideal setting for someone who enjoys active, physical work and takes pride in seeing a tangible finished product.

Responsibilities

Inventory & Freight Management

• Heavy Loading: Repeatedly lift and maneuver 5-gallon pails and 1-gallon cans for order staging and storage.

• Receiving & Unloading: Process incoming freight, break down pallets, and verify shipments against packing slips.

• Stocking & Organization: Maintain "First In, First Out" ( FIFO ) rotation for paints and chemicals to ensure product freshness.

Production & Order Fulfillment

• Order Picking: Efficiently pull products from warehouse shelves based on contractor pick-tickets or phone orders.

• Staging: Organize completed orders in the loading zone for fast-paced contractor pickups or delivery van departures.

Safety & Facility Operations

• Material Handling: Safely store and move flammable materials, lacquers, and solvents according to safety protocols.

• Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean, hazard-free warehouse floor to ensure safe movement of staff and equipment.

The essential functions of this role include:
