Maintenance Electro-Mechanic
Duties
- Locate breakdowns and carry out the necessary repairs
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic checks on equipment
- Install, align, dismantle, and move fixed industrial machinery or mechanical equipment (pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, etc.)
- Participate in the development of a preventive maintenance program for equipment
- Read plans, diagrams, and schematics to determine the method of proceeding
- Adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures, good manufacturing practices, and HACCP/SQF
- programs
- Maintains OSHA/corporate set guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Must be knowledgeable in equipment Lock-Out/Tag-Out requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in the food manufacturing sector
- Experience in electromechanics, mechanical manufacturing, or other relevant training
- Strong attention to detail and ability to intervene safely, quickly, and effectively
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Must read and write English
- Able to work flexible hours and overtime as business needs
- Ability to work in a fast paced, refrigerated environment
- Able to function in a team environment through communication and cooperation
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must read and write English
Related Experience/Requirements
- Experience in electromechanics, mechanical manufacturing, or other relevant training
- Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Job requires workers to lift up to 60 lbs. Must be able to: step, climb, balance, squat, kneel, bend and reach above shoulders as needed, and climb stairs and ladders numerous times a day.
- Works in refrigerated areas for extended periods of times on a regular basis.
