Electrical Engineer – Next Generation Nuclear Power Plant
Location: Camden, NJ

Position Overview:
The Electrical Engineer will contribute to the design and analysis of electrical systems that support the development of advanced nuclear power plant technologies. This role involves collaboration with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers focused on safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Support activities related to electrical system design and analysis.
- Develop requirements and design specifications.
- Perform system analyses and licensing conformance evaluations.
- Read, interpret, and develop electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Perform electrical calculations and prepare design deliverables.
- Support vendor selection, vetting, and technical evaluation.
- Develop cable routing and perform associated analyses.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- 2–5 years of electrical engineering experience, or equivalent.
- Solid working knowledge of electrical design methods, tools, and regulatory requirements .
- Ability to produce clear technical documents and design deliverables with minimal editing.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
- Demonstrates sound judgment on routine engineering problems under supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements and environments.
- Works effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- 2–5 years of hands-on electrical design or support experience in power generation environments .
- Experience contributing to electrical system design , including:
- On-site distribution (AC and DC)
- Off-site interfaces (switchyard)
- Grounding and lightning protection systems
- Plant lighting and communication systems
- Battery systems and diesel generators
- Growing familiarity with nuclear regulatory guidance , such as NUREG-0800 Chapter 8 .
- Experience applying IEEE, IEC, and EPRI codes and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to perform electrical system design and analysis .
