Cable Assembler (Lumberton)

At TrekConnec t, a division of Heilind Mil-Aero, we manufacture mission-critical cable and harness assemblies used in aerospace, defense, and advanced technology systems. As a Cable Assembler , you’ll put your hands-on skills to work building high-reliability products that make a difference.

What You’ll Do
- Assemble complex cable and wire harnesses using crimping, soldering, stripping, and terminating techniques.
- Follow engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions to ensure every assembly meets quality standards.
- Perform continuity and functional testing using cable testers and other verification tools.
- Inspect your own work for accuracy, consistency, and reliability before release.
- Collaborate with quality and production teams to identify and correct assembly or wiring issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all TrekConnect Quality Management System procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cross-training to expand your technical skills.

What You Bring
- 1+ year of experience in cable, harness, or electronic assembly.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, cutters, torque tools, and soldering irons.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with fiber optic, soldering, or electrical testing is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a team environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements with the U.S. Navy.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as inspecting manufactured parts (with and without magnification), preparing/analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to distinguish colors and color variation of physical parts and components, and in documentation such as work instructions and engineering drawings.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
