Responsibilities- The pharmacy technician, under the supervision of a pharmacist, will assist in the technical and non-clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
- Maintains competency in the compounding of sterile IV medications.
Job Requirements :
- High School graduate or GED.
2+ years of previous hospital pharmacy technician experience (inclusive of training programs).
Completion of sterile compounding training/competency (as required by State BOP).
Active Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by the state of employment.
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
