Transportation Manager

Monday–Friday | 6 AM–3 PM (hours may vary based on operational needs)

At General Floor , we help Flooring Pros, Building Pros, Designers, and Property Management companies get the products they need — when and where they need them. From fulfilling Branch orders to job site deliveries, our transportation team is a critical part of our success.

We’re looking for a hands-on, organized, and motivated Transportation Manager to lead our fleet operations, support our CDL drivers, and help keep deliveries running safely and efficiently across branch locations and customer job sites.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Transportation Manager , you’ll play a key role in fleet operations, safety, delivery coordination, and transportation leadership. 

✅ Review truck loads to ensure safe, secure, and damage-free transportation of materials

✅ Coordinate and review daily delivery routes with drivers

✅ Conduct vehicle safety inspections and promote safe driving practices

✅ Perform ride-alongs and road tests to monitor driver performance and compliance

✅ Monitor fleet maintenance schedules, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs

✅ Maintain driver records and complete required internal, vendor, federal, and state reporting

✅ Schedule and confirm deliveries to branch locations and customer job sites

✅ Audit delivery orders for accuracy and verify payment prior to material release

✅ Investigate delivery discrepancies, damaged goods, and inventory concerns

✅ Support warehouse operations and management initiatives as needed

What We’re Looking For

✔ Strong leadership and communication skills
✔ Transportation, logistics, fleet, or warehouse management experience
✔ CDL Class A or B license (Class A preferred)
✔ Knowledge of DOT/CDL regulations and fleet safety practices
✔ Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
✔ Strong organizational and follow-through skills
✔ Comfortable working closely with drivers, warehouse teams, and branch leadership
✔ Positive attitude and team-first mindset

Starting Salary Range: $28–$34/hr
The listed range is a guideline and does not limit consideration of candidates with exceptional qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on candidate qualifications, internal equity, and market factors.
