Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)- Part-Time- Philadelphia
Who we are:
Kindred Hospital Morris is a long-term acute care facility offering specialized, compassionate care to help patients with complex conditions recover, heal, and regain independence.
- 24/7 physician or physician extender coverage and respiratory therapy access for around-the-clock recovery
- 52-bed hospital with an Intensive Care Unit available for patients in critical condition
- Joint Commission Certifications in Respiratory Failure and Sepsis ensure a standardized, evidence-based approach to treatment and performance improvement
- Patients come to our hospitals with serious conditions such as respiratory failure, complex wounds, sepsis, stroke, congestive heart failure, or even a combination of these. Their diagnoses are often complicated by existing health problems like diabetes or COPD. Many of our patients require treatments such as mechanical ventilation, dialysis, or IV therapy.

How you'll contribute
You'll make an impact by evaluating and treating patient populations for swallowing, speech-language and therapy needs. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills to directly impact patient wellbeing.
Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Additional requirements include:
- Licensed Speech Therapist; Current licensure with PA Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire

About the position
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Essential Functions Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
- Designs and implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient and family.
- Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Plans and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services.
- Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and other support personnel.
