Job Overview:
The supply chain procedural area coordinator is responsible for managing supply chain activities in the assigned area at the direction of the supply chain management.
Performs procurement activities for assigned procedural areas in a cost-effective manner using current inventory management processes and procedures.
Communicates product concerns to supply chain management and seeks input or approval from the Clinical Resource Directors (CRD) for all newly requested items prior to placing an order.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma required
Excellent customer service skills required
Ability to lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs
Preferred:
Two to three years of supply chain procedural area experience preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred
Healthcare supply chain operations experience preferred
Valid NJ Driver’s License preferred
Scheduling Requirements
- Days 6am-2:30pm
- Mon.-Fri. Weekend/Holiday Rotation
- Full Time
Essential Functions:
- Practices and adheres to all department and organizational policies, procedures, and initiatives. Assist manager with identifying areas of improvement and creates a plan to address them.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all systems and equipment used in the department.
- Supervises personnel functions for direct reports including training to achieve maximum staff productivity using automated systems to reduce expenses. Ensures direct reports are observing all organizational and department policies and procedures.
- Ensures monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are met or exceeded.
- Performs monthly documented inspections and audits of all inventory areas managed by supply chain.
- Reviews procedural area booking sheets and schedule in advance to procure goods in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the research, mitigation, and resolution of customer concerns and escalates when needed.
- Responsible for identifying and reporting safety concerns, medical errors, device malfunction, and facility damage (walls, ceiling tiles, etc.)
