Tutor/Teacher
Huntington Learning Center of Turnersville is seeking tutors capable of teaching our students (grades K-12) in reading, writing, phonics, math, study skills, and SAT/ACT Prep.
NOTE: Tutoring occurs in-person at our center in Turnersville, NJ.- Are you a current or retired teacher looking for an additional paid way to be involved in the education field?
- Are you a graduate student working on your Master's Degree in Education or a similar area?
- Are you a substitute teacher looking for a part-time job?
- Are you new to Education field and need some teaching experience and great recommendation?
Hours are flexible, you tell us when you are available and we pair with student schedules.
There is no lesson planning, grading, or other work for you to do outside of the classroom. Our full-time staff handles parent interaction and curriculum, so all you do is teach students, typically one-to-one basis. Huntington Learning Center has been the nation's recognized leader in the supplemental educational services industry since 1977. If you are qualified, caring, and dedicated to teaching professionally, interested in spending your time working directly with students, we'll give you the opportunity to do what you love -- TEACH! Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Teaching Certification preferred, but we will consider other highly qualified candidates for some roles.
- Professional presentation and demeanor.
- Desire to positively impact students' lives.
Schedule:
- We teach students Monday-Thursday 3:30-pm- 8pm and Saturdays 9-1:30pm.
- This is a part-time position. Our tutors' weekly hours vary depending on their availability. Providing more availability will increase your chances of being selected for the position. Some tutors work as little as 3 hours per week and other as much as 25 or more hours per week.
Salary: $14-17 per hour.
