SD-WAN Network Engineer (Onsite – Melbourne, FL)

Contract | $75/hr W2 Location: Onsite in Melbourne, Florida (Local Candidates Preferred) No C2C – W2 Only

We’re seeking a Senior SD-WAN Network Engineer with deep expertise in architecting and optimizing SD-WAN solutions for enterprise environments. This is a hands-on, onsite role requiring 10+ years of network engineering experience and a focus on modern SD-WAN technologies .

• Design and deploy SD-WAN solutions to optimize performance, reliability, and security

• Monitor and maintain infrastructure with best-in-class SD-WAN tools (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, Silver Peak, etc.)

• Implement micro-segmentation and advanced policy enforcement for network flow control

• Leverage automated path selection, packet replication, and QoS techniques to enhance application performance

• Integrate next-gen firewall, IDS/IPS, and analytics across edge devices and encrypted environments

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, I&T, SE) to align with broader enterprise architecture

• Develop network documentation, training materials, and POC/test protocols

• Ensure security and compliance across all SD-WAN implementations

Qualifications:

• BS in Networking, IT, CS, or a related technical field

• 10+ years in network engineering, with a strong 8+ years in SD-WAN design/implementation

• Hands-on with Cisco Viptela, Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud, Silver Peak, or similar

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing/switching, VPN, MPLS, etc.

• Proven experience in both greenfield and migration SD-WAN environments

• Exceptional communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Office & Visio proficiency

• Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement experience

• Ability to lead independently and collaborate across engineering and operations
