Entry Level Finishing Helper needed for Box and Label Manufacturing Company on Second Shift to Start Immediately in Wayne, NJ!

Location: Wayne, NJ

Shift: 2pm-10pm (Monday-Friday)

Pay: $17.50/hour ; Overtime: $26.25/hour (A lot of Overtime Offered)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Hand Finisher to ensure the quality and efficiency of our production process by handling and finishing cartons in our manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Remove cartons from gluers.
• Verify that pallets arriving at Finishing contain the correct items for feeding and gluing.
• Feed cartons into the machine bed, ensuring the machine feed is continually filled with paper cartons while the machine is running.
• Communicate with operators and forklift drivers to maintain a sufficient supply of die-cut cartons for feeding into the gluer.
• Pick up cartons from the conveyor and stack them into cases.
• Check cartons for quality and excessive glue.
• Clear the line when the machine becomes jammed.
• Verify pallet labels for accuracy.
• Manually sort defective jobs and hand pack into corrugated cases.

Essential Skills

• General production experience.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, depending on job assignment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Attention to detail for quality assurance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayne, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
