We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter/Foreman to join the Smith Construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong background in all aspects of carpentry tasks from start to finish of the job. The Lead Carpenter will also mentor junior carpenters and coordinate with other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
Pay is negotiable based on experience level.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise carpentry projects, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with project specifications.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks related to carpentry work.
- Build, assemble, and install fixtures according to design specifications.
- Execute tasks, ensuring proper installation techniques are followed.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various carpentry applications.
- Fabricate custom woodwork and cabinetry as required by project needs.
- Install materials with precision and attention to detail.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment commonly used in carpentry work.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
