About the Role:
S & A Property Preservation Group is looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team in Bloomfield, NJ! This is a great opportunity to put your trade skills to work across a variety of hands-on tasks while being part of a dedicated property services team. If you take pride in quality work and love tackling a wide range of projects, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs and maintenance across residential and commercial properties
- Complete carpentry, drywall, painting, and flooring tasks as needed
- Handle plumbing and electrical repairs within scope of expertise
- Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance issues
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and up to quality standards
- Communicate job status and progress updates to supervisors and clients
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good working condition
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Handyman or in a general maintenance/repair role
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and basic blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions
