ob SummaryThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing and managing outgoing payments in an accurate, timely, and compliant manner. This role ensures vendors are paid correctly, financial records are maintained properly, and internal controls are followed. Key Responsibilities Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents Verify accuracy, coding, and approval of invoices Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain accounts payable records and documentation Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and account status Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Support audits by providing required documentation Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred) 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience Knowledge of basic accounting principles Experience with accounting software and ERP systems Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Preferred Skills Experience with high-volume invoice processing Familiarity with GAAP Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Work Environment Office environment May require extended periods of sitting and computer use Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Work Location: In person
