**Aerotek is hiring for a Solar Electrician with WEEKLY pay in Paramus, NJ!**
The Commercial Solar Electrician is responsible for installing, wiring, and commissioning photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial buildings with flat roofs. This role ensures compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications while delivering high-quality renewable energy solutions.
**Responsibilities**
+ **Electrical Installation:** Install and terminate electrical wiring for PV systems, including inverters, combiner boxes, and disconnects.
+ Run conduit and perform wire pulls across flat roof environments.
+ **System Integration:** Connect solar arrays to building electrical systems and verify proper grounding.
+ Configure and test inverters, monitoring systems, and other electrical components.
+ **Site Assessment & Planning:** Review project plans and diagrams to determine optimal layout and wiring routes.
+ Ensure compliance with NEC, local codes, and manufacturer specifications.
+ **Safety & Compliance:** Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, including fall protection and electrical safety.
+ Perform lockout/tagout procedures during installation and maintenance.
+ **Quality Assurance:** Conduct system performance tests and troubleshoot electrical issues.
+ Document installation details and maintain accurate records for inspections.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum 3 years' experience in a commercial, industrial, or solar electrician journeyman capacity with thorough understanding of electrical equipment, high and low voltages, electrical theory, power generation, switchgear maintenance and paralleling procedures
+ Possess strong working knowledge of job site safety with the ability to thoroughly evaluate job hazards and complete pre-work task planning with an emphasis on identifying electrical hazards and proper safety procedures
+ Versed in all electrical test equipment to diagnose or troubleshoot all electrical systems and instruments
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Previous solar installation experience is a plus.
+ Comfortable working at heights on flat roofs.
**Work Environment**
The role involves outdoor work, which is weather dependent. The position requires working on flat rooftops, focusing on safety and precision in all tasks.

This is a Contract position based out of Paramus, NJ.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
