Developer D&A - Beverages
Drives innovative processing development projects from concept to customer by creating, optimizing, and scaling recipes that balance cost, quality, and performance. This role sits at the heart of cross-functional collaboration—working hands-on with Product Science, Quality, Sales, Technical Project Management, and customers to test, taste, refine, and bring ideas to life through lab, pilot plant, and customer workshops. From developing new recipes and customer samples to ensuring food safety excellence and flawless execution in SAP, the work directly shapes standout products and a stronger, more agile portfolio.
Your Responsibilites:
- Processing development projects in the best possible way
- Providing support in the optimisation of the recipe portfolio in terms of cost structure, resource use and
quality in collaboration with Recipe Management - Collaborating with technical project managers and Sales (discussing briefings, clarifying questions usually
for BtO processes, tasting, evaluating samples, selecting samples) - Arranging diverse tests on product shelf life and changes in collaboration with Product Science
- Creating and maintaining recipes in SAP
- Implementing in-house and statutory specifications and guidelines on hygiene, HACCP, food safety, occupational safety and environmental protection
- Conducting measures assigned by Quality and corrective action
- Tasting developed products
- Ensuring the correct execution of lab trails and the creation of product samples, tastings for product developments and correct coordination and collaboration with the Sampling Lab and Pilot Plant for the production of appropriate customer samples
- Participating in customer workshops in collaboration with Product Management, Technical Project Management and Sales; preparing customer samples and adapting the samples during the workshop
- Maintaining product-specific substance data in SAP
- Developing new recipes for customer and innovation projects, developing matching products and further
developing existing recipes - Discussing with and supporting the Technical Account Manager on customer-specific circumstances, recipe formulation and filling technology
- Coordinating and collaborating with the Sampling Lab and Pilot Plant for the production of appropriate customer samples
- Checking the production recipe, process parameters and test plan
Your Profile:
- Bachelor/Master/PhD in Food or Beverage Technology or similar studies
- 3-5 years of experience as a developer
- Pasteurization (OMVE or Microthermics) equipment basic knowledge is necessary
- Fomulation of Dairy, Non-Dairy, Protein, functional beverages a plus
