Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician
We are seeking a skilled Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician to join our clinical team in Metuchen, NJ . This full-time role provides hands-on opportunities to fabricate, modify, and repair custom orthotic and prosthetic devices. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with clinicians to ensure devices meet high-quality standards and patient needs. Based in Metuchen , this position allows for professional growth in a supportive and technically focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, assemble, and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices according to specifications.
- Assist clinicians in device preparation, fittings, and adjustments.
- Perform repairs and routine maintenance on equipment and patient devices.
- Maintain tools, machinery, and the fabrication workspace in a safe and organized manner.
- Follow safety, quality, and infection-control protocols.
- Accurately document work orders, fabrication details, and patient device information.
Requirements
- Experience in orthotics and prosthetics fabrication or a related technical field preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, machinery, and materials including plastics, metals, and composites.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
- Dependable, organized, and a collaborative team player.
