Due to our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Project Engineer with relevant Municipal or Site/Civil experience to join our dynamic team in our Toms River, NJ office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a wide variety of subdivision, land development projects and capital improvement projects across various sectors (Residential, Retail, Commercial, Industrial, Municipal and Institutional)
• Perform reviews of Zoning, Subdivision and Land Development, Stormwater and other regulatory agency ordinances/regulations for applicability to a given project
• Prepare or assist with preparation of Sketch Plans, Site Plans, Grading, Utilities, Road & Utility Profile Plans
• Familiarization with the Municipal Code of various municipalities for the purpose of reviewing and designing Development Applications
• Attend meetings of Land Use Boards and prepare reports as required
• Knowledge of applicable local, county, and state stormwater management and soil erosion control standards
• Engage in regular communication with project managers and other team members in regard to the status and progress of activities and timelines for assigned tasks
• Depending on level of experience, supervise staff in carrying out plans, programs, and services, or support the project manager
• Manage internal project scope of work, budget, timeline, and change orders
• Preparation of project plans, extensions of design and contract submittals
• Perform site visits during development and construction to manage design process

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
• EIT or PE certification preferred
• 2 years of experience and/or internship in civil, site, or municipal engineering
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and HydroCAD stormwater design software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills

Compensation:

$52k - $65k commensurate with experience.
