Infant / Young Toddler Classroom Group Teacher

Summary

Full-time Infant Classroom Group Teacher for a year-round program; Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week. Positively interact with children on a regular basis throughout the day and assist them with their needs. Responsible for the safety and well-being of children at all times. Provide a warm and inviting classroom prepared and ready to offer care for Infants on a daily basis.

Duties

Provide a caring and nurturing environment to all children.
Interactions such as: feedings, diapering, cleaning, activities, comforting, napping, playing...
Work alongside Teacher Assistants with classroom organization and management ensuring compliance.
Create weekly lesson plans / activities.
Complete evaluations and record student progress / conduct parent-teacher conferences.
Open communication with parents.
Maintain all records and reports of meals, attendance, illness, wee-mails, accident/injury/unusual incident.
Participate in workshops and complete yearly trainings / professional development.
Follow all practices and procedures.
Assist in all areas of need.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum one year teaching experience with an early childhood program, or related field, serving students from Infants through Pre-school.
Associate Degree in Early Childhood preferred OR a CDA.
Knowledge of the Creative Curriculum and GOLD's.
Must be willing to provide proof of Physical & TB Test Results.
Must be willing to complete a CARI Background Check and Fingerprints.

Nice To Haves

Pediatric CPR-First Aid Certification Required OR willing to obtain once hired.
Knowledge of GROWNJ requirements.
