Human Resources Coordinator ( Bi Lingual )
- Facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open warehouse/transportation positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Onboarding of warehouse employees and drivers which includes all new hire / rehire paperwork, I9 verification and WOTC compliance.
- Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files.
- Conduct new hire orientation in English and/or Spanish.
- Answer routine questions from applicants about employment procedures.
- Accurately maintain employee files.
- Assists with processing of termination paperwork.
- Implement company culture, core values and policies.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assist with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with HR policy interpretation and basic benefits inquiries.
- Assist with annual open enrollment.
- Assist with all company employee related events.
- Perform other clerical duties in support of the Human Resources Department as required or assigned
Education
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment required.
Experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws
- Strong onboarding background
- Ability to work independently and think a few steps ahead.
- Ability to interact with employees and management at all levels, manage confidential issues and information with discretion.
- Ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
- Total discretion and respect for confidentiality of data and decision-making.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure and operate with a keen sense of urgency and commitment to quality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
