Bergen Community College is accepting applications for adjunct positions in Diagnostic Medical Sonography teaching Echocardiography department in the Division of Health Professions for Summer and Fall 2026.

This program of study prepares students to become Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, an integral part of the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

Adjunct Clinical Faculty in Echocardiography provide clinical instruction, mentorship, and assessment for students in Bergen Community College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. This role includes weekly on-site supervision at assigned clinical affiliates and collaboration with program faculty to support student learning and competency attainment in accordance with CAAHEP standards.

Total hours per week range from 3-9 hours, depending on the assignment and faculty availability.

Qualifications:

• RDCS or RCS credential in good standing.
• Minimum two years of current clinical experience in echocardiography.
• Current AHA BLS Provider certification.
• Graduate of a JRC-DMS accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• Proficiency with electronic clinical documentation systems (Trajecsys preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.
• Commitment to supporting student development and clinical competence.
• Teaching experience preferred but not required.

Rates and Benefits:

• Adjunct rates range from $950 to $960. The pay rates are $950 for a Bachelor's and $960 for a Master's.
• Tuition Waiver for BCC courses for themselves or their dependents
• ABP and 403b
