Billing Coordinator
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Billing Coordinator to join our client to support accurate financial processing and ensure smooth billing operations. In this role, you will help drive timely invoicing, payment reconciliation, and data integrity across multiple plan types. You will play a key part in maintaining compliance, resolving billing questions, and supporting month-end and quarter-end financial activities. This is a hybrid opportunity offering excellent exposure to a fast?paced corporate environment.
Compensation:
$26 – $28/hour
Work Schedule:
Monday–Friday, normal business hours; Hybrid (onsite Tues–Thurs, remote Mon & Fri)
Key Responsibilities of the Billing Coordinator:
- Support the preparation, review, and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and final invoices while ensuring accuracy across asset-based and non-asset based plan billing.
- Oversee reconciliations for fees, check payments, wire activity, and receivables, ensuring all financial activity is aligned with service agreements and internal controls.
- Coordinate special billing needs including manual invoices, conversions, termination requests, refunds, and partner-level statements.
- Maintain accurate account data by updating contact information, processing plan changes, and ensuring proper documentation aligned with SOX compliance standards.
- Respond to internal and external billing inquiries, troubleshoot discrepancies, and support ongoing process improvements and special projects.
Qualifications and Skills for the Billing Coordinator:
- A related bachelor’s degree is preferred, though strong relevant experience will be considered in place of formal education.
- At least 2+ years of recent billing, accounting, or financial operations experience, including QuickBooks proficiency.
- Strong organizational abilities with experience handling multiple deadlines, reviewing data, and performing reconciliations.
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast?paced setting.
- Familiarity with MS Office is required; experience with AS400 systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
