Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer / SRE / Infrastructure Engineer with deep expertise in OpenShift and strong development skills in Java or Python . This role will be heavily focused on infrastructure automation, enterprise-grade OpenShift deployments, and building API integrations to support scalable platform services.

Top Priorities:

1. Strong OpenShift Experience – including enterprise-level build, installation, and automation (not just usage).

2. Java or Python Development – hands-on experience building and integrating APIs .

3. Virtualization Expertise – with VMware as a core component.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and automate OpenShift platforms in an enterprise environment.

• Perform system-level design and implementation tasks for containerized applications .

• Develop tools, scripts, and APIs in Java or Python to support infrastructure automation and platform services.

• Manage and optimize virtualization infrastructure including VMware .

• Collaborate with cloud, security, and operations teams to ensure high availability and scalability.

• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines and SRE best practices.

• Monitor and troubleshoot issues across infrastructure and application layers.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience building and automating OpenShift clusters (not just as a user).

• Strong programming skills in Java or Python with API development experience.

• Solid understanding of VMware or similar virtualization platforms.

• Deep knowledge of container orchestration , DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code.

• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex, distributed systems.

• Experience in enterprise infrastructure environments .

Nice to Have:

• Experience with KVM and other hypervisors.

• Exposure to Software-Defined Networking (SDN) solutions.

• Familiarity with additional container tools or hybrid cloud technologies.
