We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Analyst for our client in Jersey City. In this role, you will manage vendor payment data and banking instructions, collaborate with various teams, and adhere to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Vendor banking instruction management: The analyst is responsible for entering and verifying vendor banking details in the Workday ERP system for domestic/international payments, including complex cases related to international markets/mergers. Person will also perform vendor banking verification through online systems and verbal confirmations to prevent fraud.
• Risk screening and compliance: The role includes sanction screening of new vendors to avoid prohibited agreements, ongoing vendor risk screening, vendor master data maintenance, and ensuring alignment with Treasury for bank record cleanups. The analyst must ensure policies comply with SOX requirements.
• Process improvement and communication: The analyst monitors vendor payment methods and identifies process improvements in vendor management. Understanding 1099 reporting, W9 forms, and communicating effectively with vendors, banks, and internal customers to resolve issues are needed to succeed in this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 2+ years specializing in AP, vendor management or related experience.
• Previous insurance experience would be a plus
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Workday ERP preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to follow procedures and structured workflow, skills in data analysis, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and research.
• Demonstrates commitment to maintaining quality standards with a proactive and ownership-driven approach to tasks.
• Excellent work ethic to drive proactive and continuous learning.
