Energy Efficiency Advisor - Remote | WFH
Project Support: Oversee projects submitted by customers and partners. Work closely with a Project Coordinator to collect necessary documentation and ensure timely project approval and completion.
Technical Review: Review project documentation for accuracy and ensure all technical data is correct. Make necessary adjustments based on scope changes or inspections.
Customer Engagement: Reach out to both new and existing customers through calls to promote energy-saving solutions and help meet energy-saving goals.
Program Presentations: Create and deliver clear, informative presentations on energy efficiency programs to diverse audiences.
Advisory Role: Provide energy efficiency advice to building owners, property managers, and engineers to help them understand how they can participate in energy-saving programs.
Data Management: Enter energy savings data into spreadsheets and databases, collaborating with Energy Engineers when needed to ensure accuracy.
Reporting: When necessary, provide written summaries to customers and clients about the status of their projects or energy-saving outcomes.
Qualifications: Location: Must be a resident of New Jersey.
Education & Experience: An associate's degree or higher in business or a technical field, or 5+ years of experience in sales, account management, or related roles.
Energy Efficiency Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with energy efficiency products or programs, ideally within a utility, government, non-profit, or public agency environment.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to individuals with varying levels of expertise.
Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly transition between tasks, solve problems creatively, and stay focused on details.
Team-Oriented: A collaborative team player with a positive attitude who thrives working with diverse teams.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a general comfort level working with technology.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel around New Jersey up to 50% of the time, with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Physical Demands: Ability to participate in fieldwork, which may involve physical activities like standing, walking, and occasional climbing, kneeling, or working in various weather conditions. Safety protocols must be followed during site visits.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or Architecture: A Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field is a plus.
Certifications: Certified Energy Auditor (Commercial) designation is preferred.
Relevant Experience: Previous experience in commercial or industrial energy efficiency, technical sales, B2B, or the construction industry is highly valued.
