Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- The Evangelization Coordinator (EC) for the Family of the Immaculate Conception will work with the Pastor and the Youth Ministry Coordinator to develop Faith, Community, and Catechetical formation opportunities for members of our three parishes. The primary focus of the EC is the adults in the parishes. You will help with or lead OCIA. You will help adults meet, know, and love Jesus and His Church. You will help form Adult Bible Studies, Small Groups, ALPHA, and help our adults find retreats they could attend. You will come up with events for our communities and invite parishioners into leadership and fellowship. You will also coordinate visits to the nursing homes and home bound.
- Please note: this position is being advertised as a part-time position with the potential of becoming full-time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Find, understand, develop, and implement opportunities for adult parishioners to know and love Jesus and each other.
o Ex: CEC, ALPHA, Bible Studies, Cloister on the Platte, St. Benedict Center Retreats.
• Maintain some office hours each week for visits and staff meetings.
• Oversee outreach to the marginalized in our communities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Primary Requirements:
o Love Jesus and His Church
o An ability to teach others how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ
o Confident and comfortable talking in front of groups and representing the Church
o An above average knowledge of the Catholic Faith
• An ability to be formed into the position (will receive training from the Archdiocese).
• Flexibility (when working in ministry, plans will change)
• Meet people where they are, but have a desire to bring them to Jesus Christ.
• Basic knowledge of computer programs such as: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Email
• Organized – consistent office hours
• Self-starter

Education and Experience
• Active, practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church, with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church.
• Minimum of a high school diploma.
• Knowledge of the local communities would be helpful.
• Background in communication or teaching.
• Further study of the Catholic Faith, such as classes in college or a degree in Theology or Philosophy would be amazing, but not necessary.
• Must be 21 years or older.
