Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems within a recycling facility. This role is critical in ensuring plant operations run efficiently, safely, and with maximum uptime.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections on plant machinery and equipment.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in balers, shredders, conveyors, forklifts, and trailers.

• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with OSHA and safety standards.

• Collaborate with operators to identify recurring issues and recommend improvements.

• Flexible schedule required, including weekends and up to 25% travel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical school certification preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or electrical maintenance (recycling, manufacturing, or heavy equipment background preferred).

• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabrication, and electrical systems.

• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with OSHA standards, lockout/tagout, and environmental compliance.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions (heat, dust, noise).
