Job Overview:

With the assistance of the Assistant Director of Plant Operations, the Lead Carpenter will coordinate and schedule in-house minor construction projects.

Qualifications:

Required :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s license
• Five or more years of experience in carpentry/commercial construction

Preferred :

• OSHA training
• Three years healthcare experience
• Door inspection certification preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

• Full-Time, Day Hours
• Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM with flexibility to work various shifts

Essential Functions:

• Must be familiar and be able to perform masonry installation and repair
• Able to read and interpret basic construction drawings
• Familiar with construction codes such as LS and ICRA
• Estimate and create project inventory list, order material, develop and schedule project timeline
• General demolition
• Metal and Wood framing
• Wall insulation
• Drywall installation
• Spackling
• Installation of new floor (carpet, tile, ceramic)
• Installation of suspended ceiling
• Installation of repair door and framing
• Window replacement
• Millwork installation and repair
