Role Overview
As a Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in shaping the product strategy and managing the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our AI-driven solutions meet customer needs, deliver business value, and leverage the latest advancements in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities
Product Vision and Strategy
- Define and communicate the AI-enhanced product vision and strategy aligned with business goals.
- Conduct market research on AI trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to inform product direction.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI/ML, natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and generative AI to create differentiated product features.
Backlog Management
- Create, prioritize, and manage the product backlog, with a focus on AI-driven features and improvements.
- Translate high-level requirements into detailed user stories, including AI use cases, data requirements, and model performance acceptance criteria.
- Partner with data science and engineering teams to ensure AI features are testable, measurable, and deliver tangible outcomes.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, designers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of AI-enabled products.
- Act as the primary liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of AI-related requirements and constraints.
- Evangelize AI-driven capabilities across the organization, showcasing business value and ROI.
Agile Practices
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure AI backlog items are integrated into sprint priorities.
- Foster an Agile mindset within the team, promoting experimentation, data-driven decision making, and iterative delivery of AI features.
AI Technology Oversight
- Stay updated on the latest in AI frameworks, cloud AI services (Azure AI, GCP Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock), and MLOps practices.
- Collaborate with technical teams to integrate AI features (e.g., predictive analytics, chatbots, recommendation engines, generative AI).
- Ensure AI governance, ethical AI practices, and compliance are considered in product decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment, with a strong understanding of Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with AI technologies, ML workflows, and data-driven product development.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Product Owner certification (CSPO or equivalent) is preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of machine learning concepts, data pipelines, and model performance metrics.
- Knowledge of cloud AI platforms (Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex AI, AWS AI).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while balancing AI experimentation and business delivery.
- Awareness of AI ethics, bias mitigation, and responsible AI frameworks
