The Material Planner/Asset Scheduler plans production work according to established guidelines for contract manufacturers, uses asset capability data to build production schedules in order to meet customer needs in a timely manner, and coordinates work between the supply chain and operation areas. Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:​ Prioritize Workflow in CMG Area: utilize Operations Report and work with Supply Chain to prioritize work for contract manufacturers (CM’s), communicate the scheduled work/discuss any changes needed, work with Operations to keep parts flowing from the plant to the CM’s in a timely manner, send documents to vendors with proper protection and security when requested by the plant or Quality department, and work with Quality Inspection and CSRs to complete virtual goods receipts and expedited orders. Liaison with Outsourcing Vendors: communicate released orders to the CM’s and send any necessary documents needed for each order, ensure timely delivery of parts, make tactical decisions and understand current supply chain /customer demands Communicate with Supply Chain: receive direction for priority and expedited orders from Supply Chain master schedulers and arrange timely deliveries of expedited orders as needed and serve as liaison between CM’s and Supply Chain. Create and Revise Process and Purchase Orders: release process orders in SAP and create various Purchase Requisitions/ Purchase orders for parts Calculate Pricing and Timing: understand scaled pricing and request orders for what is best for the business and review order quantities before sending parts to CM’s to reduce inventory of Finish parts and reduce costs at the CM’s. Moves Material: moves material going to Vendor into shipping locations physically and electronically in SAP Record Keeping: maintain an accurate Vendor contact information file. Assures records up-to-date and are compliant with corporate policies as well as Military ITAR, Excel DF2, and SAP Decisions / Problem solver: mindset and proven track record performing well in a fast-paced stressful environment with tight deadlines, changing priorities and ability to be flexible. Juggle jobs around to meet deadlines. Accommodate requests from Supply Chain. Ethically resolves routine delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases and invoices Safety and Dupont Culture: comply with all DuPont Core Values as it is a requirement for employment, on time TLM completion and attend monthly Safety meetings, and comply and support audit requirements, both internally and externally, e.g. ISO, IATF and AS Inventory: participate in Annual Physical Inventory. Assist CM’s with inventory instructions Your qualifications profile: Required: High School diploma/GED is required Minimum 1 year equivalent SC or manufacturing plant experience with proven capability (Material Planner, First Line Supervisor, Product Planner/Coordinator, administrative, customer service representative) Strong computer (MS Office, especially MS Excel) and team-working skills are a necessity as well as the ability to multitask.
