YTP Aquatics Director - Lake Stockwell

Overview:

The YTP Aquatics Director position is responsible for the daily operation of YMCA of the Pines’ waterfronts, including the general safety and supervision of swimmers.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction, supervision, and safety of all campers, staff and volunteers in waterfront area.
• Responsible for creating lifeguard schedules for daily operating as well as after camp swim lessons.
• Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to: Camper check-in and check-out; and meal times.
• Conduct weekly in-services for all 3 camps – Lake Stockwell Day Camp, Camp Ockanickon & Camp Matollionequay
• Attend and participate in two weeks of Leadership Staff Training and General Staff Training.
• Conduct at least one written performance review with staff during the summer.

Qualifications:

• Lifeguarding experience required
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Have knowledge in the safety, skill instruction and ability to understand emergency procedures in a waterfront setting
• Previous camp experience or experience working with groups of children and supervision of staff is preferred.
• Must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff
• Must possess current certifications in lifeguarding Waterfront Module and professional CPR and First Aid; Waterfront Safety Instruction preferred. Training will be provided.

Posted Salary Range: USD $500.00 - USD $600.00 /Wk.
