Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to healthcare professionals and ensure a positive experience for patients. This role involves a combination of administrative and clinical tasks, contributing to the efficient operation of our medical facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
  • Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk operations
  • Process patient intake forms and insurance information
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and provide instructions for follow-up care
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
