Engineer II, Software
- Debugs and resolves software problems with minimal assistance from senior engineers.
- Completes the analysis and design of system or program components.
- Performs the implementation of software based on analysis and design.
- Writes and executes Unit Tests.
- Participates in design and code reviews.
- Makes design decisions based on requirements analysis and technical review. Sr. level software engineer closely monitors the design.
- Plans, prepares, and completes the design of assigned complex projects
- Makes implementation and testing decisions within the guidelines of the standards and project requirements. The analysis, design, implementation, and testing are reviewed and approved by peers and more senior level engineers before it is released.
- May supervise or be responsible for the completion of a less complex project.
- Works under very generl direction.
- May develop approaches, methods, and procedures on new assignments.
- Analytical and mathematical ability.
- Ability to be a contributing member of a cross-functional development team.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Good problem-solving, design, and technical skills.
- Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
- BS is Computer Science of Electrical Engineering with 3 to 5 years of related software experience.
- Or MS with 2 to 4 years of related software experience
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming and Object Oriented Design in C/C++.
- Experience with the development of software for embedded devices.
