HVAC Install Lead (Residential + Light Commercial) – Full-Time
Martinelli Plumbing & Heating, Inc. – Hainesport, NJ
Martinelli Plumbing & Heating is hiring an HVAC Install Lead to run residential and light-commercial installations start to finish. This is for a tech who can lead a 2–3 person crew, deliver clean and code-compliant installs, and communicate clearly with customers. If you do things the right way and can explain options without pressure, we want to talk.
Pay
$25–$35+ per hour (based on experience and performance)
Weekly pay + performance bonuses/incentives
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday
Occasional overtime/weekend work during peak demand
Participation in on-call rotation (as needed)
Responsibilities
- Lead HVAC installs with a 2–3 person crew (from layout to start-up)
- Install/commission: ductless mini-splits, furnaces, heat pumps
- Install/modify ductwork as needed
- Verify proper operation at start-up and maintain high-quality control
- Communicate clearly with customers on system use and expectations
- Recommend helpful upgrades/add-ons in a consultative way (no pressure)
- Complete job documentation (photos/notes), keep truck stocked and organized
- Follow safety protocols, local codes, and company standards
- Coordinate with dispatch/office to keep jobs on track
Requirements
- EPA Universal Certification (required)
- Valid driver’s license + clean driving record (must be insurable)
- Able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work in attics/crawl spaces
- Proven install experience and ability to lead a crew
Preferred
- 3+ years HVAC experience (install-heavy preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting/start -up skills
- Ductwork experience
- Housecall Pro experience (plus, not required)
