About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic AI & Data Practice Lead to drive AI-led transformation and data modernization initiatives for our Life Sciences clients. This senior leadership role will be pivotal in leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as Generative AI (GenAI), Agentic AI, advanced analytics, and modern data platforms to deliver impactful solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain expertise in the Life Sciences industry, exceptional consulting skills, and a proven track record in designing and implementing AI/ML solutions, GenAI-powered applications, and modern data architectures. This role involves strategic consulting, solutioning, and delivery of AI-driven insights, intelligent automation, and predictive analytics to enable outcomes such as accelerated drug discovery, clinical trial optimization, patient engagement, and commercial effectiveness. The AI & Data Practice Lead will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, engaging with C-level executives, and leading a high-performing team to achieve revenue and client satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the AI & Data GTM strategy for Life Sciences clients, with a focus on GenAI, Agentic AI, predictive analytics, and data modernization.
- Build a robust pipeline for AI-driven initiatives, including clinical trial analytics, sales effectiveness, patient intelligence, real-world evidence platforms, and intelligent automation for regulatory processes.
- Drive commercial excellence by achieving Revenue, Gross Margin, and Net Margin targets for AI & Data engagements.
- Engage C-level executives and senior stakeholders to define AI and data transformation roadmaps, including GenAI adoption and agent-based automation.
- Consult clients on AI & Analytics solutions, data strategy, AI governance, and responsible AI frameworks.
- Identify new opportunities for AI-powered solutions in areas like drug discovery acceleration using GenAI, clinical trial optimization with predictive analytics, and commercial effectiveness across HCPs, Patients, and Payers.
- Deliver executive-level presentations showcasing AI-driven business impact.
- Translate complex business challenges into AI/ML solution architectures, leveraging Generative AI for scientific literature summarization and molecule design, and Agentic AI for autonomous workflows in clinical operations.
- Design end-to-end AI ecosystems integrating data engineering, data science, and visualization platforms.
- Drive data modernization programs, including migration to cloud-native data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure) and implementation of data governance, lineage, and compliance frameworks.
- Champion AI ethics, model explainability, and compliance with FDA/EMA regulations.
- Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and GenAI specialists to deliver high-impact AI solutions.
- Collaborate with technology alliances (AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks) to enhance AI solution value.
- Build and mentor a high-performing AI & analytics team focused on Life Sciences.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or MBA from a top-tier institution.
- 15+ years of experience in Data/Analytics/AI consulting or client engagement roles.
- 8+ years of experience working with or consulting for pharma, biotech, or healthcare clients.
- Proven track record in GenAI, Agentic AI, and Data Modernization solution delivery, client management, and strategic consulting.
- Deep understanding of Life Sciences analytics use cases, including drug discovery & molecule design using AI, clinical trial optimization & patient stratification, and commercial analytics & market access.
- Familiarity with clinical data standards (CDISC), regulatory frameworks, and pharmacovigilance analytics.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and influence CXO-level stakeholders.
- Cultural awareness, especially with Life Sciences stakeholders.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, with the ability to present at industry forums.
- Confidence and comfort operating across product, engineering, sales, and customer groups.
- High-hustle quotient with a proactive, persistent, and entrepreneurial orientation.
