Project Coordinator

At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time onsite CARP Project Coordinator in Newark, NJ we’re looking for?

Your future role
The Project Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and tracking of rail projects at the Newark (EWR) site. This role ensures coordination between project teams, operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers.

We’ll look to you for:
• Assisting Project Managers with project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
• Coordinating project activities across maintenance, engineering, procurement, and operations teams
• Tracking project progress using standard project management tools
• Maintaining project documentation including reports, logs, and registers
• Preparing weekly and monthly status reports
• Coordinating meetings and track action items
• Monitoring project budgets and support cost control activities
• Supporting invoicing processes including tracking billable work, preparing invoice documentation, and coordinating with finance and clients for timely billing and payment
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
• Supporting on-site logistics and operational coordination

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in project coordination/planning, or similar role
• Experience in transportation or industrial environments preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in SAP/Global System Integrator systems (GSI)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, primarily Excel
• Knowledge of project management and invoicing processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range: $80,000-$90,000 DOE

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
