Director of Childcare Center

Position: Director of Childcare Center in an Abbott District.

Role Overview :

• As the Childcare Director, you will oversee all aspects of our childcare program, ensuring compliance with state regulations and maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence.
• You will lead a team of enthusiastic educators, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and cultivate positive relationships with families and the community.
• This candidate must be a strong leader that is dedicated and compassionate.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. P3 Certification is a Plus, Teaching Certificate and or Teacher Substitute certificate is helpful.
• Experience required in an Urban preschool district and supervisory experience within an Urban center, understanding of the CACFP requirements ECERS & TPOT assessments and Teaching Strategies Gold. Understanding of the NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Bilingual a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate childcare staff, providing ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with parents and community partners to support children's individual needs and foster a sense of belonging and community.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, school district regulations, health and safety standards, and program policies and procedures.
• Manage program budgets, enrollment, and administrative tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse school population, foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment.
