Route Deliver Driver

Non-CDL Route Delivery Drivers:

• Drivers are needed for deliveries of refrigerated foods. We use Vans and small trucks. NO CDL licenses.
• Routes are in the tri-state area, as well as DC, Maryland, Boston, Philly, etc.
• Overnight stays are required for some routes. 1-2 nights per week will be required. Shifts vary depending on the route.
• Full-Time positions. Will entertain Part time as well if available.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
• Follow routes and time schedules for all routes, some routes require overnight stays.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle
• Collect payments
• Complete logs and reports.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety hazards
• Follow rules for preventative and regular maintenance of vehicle/vehicles
• Review orders prior to loading and at the time of delivery
• Maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor
• Position frequently requires standing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, kneeling, etc.
• Various paperwork for all aspects required of the job
• Able to withstand cold temperatures in a warehouse environment of 30-37 degrees.
• Safely operates any warehouse equipment needed for vehicles, i.e. Pallet jacks, manual jacks, etc.
• Follow customer requirements for deliveries

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Must be able to read and speak the English Language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to everyday situations and functioning of the job role.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, DMV check will be conducted with a signed release
• Proficient in using GPS for commercial vehicles
• Experience using hand trucks and electric jacks is preferable
• Experience driving large vans or small trucks preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
