Pre-Admission Testing RN

Our Mountainside physicians and staff at The Center for Ambulatory Surgery are dedicated to providing quality, affordable care to the community in their quest to treat an array of orthopedic, podiatry, adult and pediatric urology, plastic surgery, chronic pain, and adult and pediatric ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions.

Our goal at The Center for Ambulatory Surgery is to ensure comfort and safety for our patients by providing a team of highly trained, knowledgeable, and caring staff members.

We are currently searching for a full-time Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Experience in an ambulatory surgical center is preferred.

• The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school, have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse, be a strong team player, and be able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• The candidate will conduct pre-admission telephone calls before the scheduled surgery/procedure to ensure that all patients are informed, educated, and prepared for their surgery/procedure preoperatively.
• Additionally, the candidate will reinforce preoperative instructions, obtain Medical/Cardiac Clearance, EKG, chest X-RAY, and Blood Work results before scheduling surgery/procedure, provide comfort and reassurance to patients during the pre-admission telephone call, accurately comprehend and interpret physician orders, and provide documentation on Pre-Admission Interview Form and other forms accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
• Lastly, the candidate must follow policies and procedures, attend all required education, report and escalate concerns over patient safety matters to the Director of Nursing and/or Center Leader, and perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
