Pre-K Group Music Teacher - Montclair, NJ

About the Position
Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun and nurturing music educator, who is experienced in teaching early childhood music in private one-on-one lessons and in a group setting, to teach part-time with our Montclair, NJ school at Modern Music Academy . Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but consistency is appreciated by both students and school staff. Preferred availability is one or two days a week (6-12 hours). Lessons are typically scheduled from 2pm-8pm on Mon-Fri and 10am-3pm on Saturday.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in Music Education or Music Performance and a demonstrated love of teaching. Must have experience working with children ages 5-10 years old, and the ability to pass a routine background check are a must. Proficient piano and guitar skills are helpful but not required. The candidate should feel comfortable reading, interpreting and implementing lesson plans from a program.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $28-34/hour. Health benefits options and a 401K with employer match are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble after 30 days of employment.
